Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca-Rabat:
One you land in the Casablanca airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of ours. You may explore Casablanca for a little bit if you’re not too tired, then we will head straight to Rabat. Once we get there, you will be able to discover all of the main historical monuments of the city, such as the Mohammed V mausoleum, the Kasbah of Oudaya and the Hassan Tower. Finally, we will spend the night in a Riad in the Old Medina.
Day 2: Rabat-Chefchaouen:
This next day we will have breakfast at the Riad, after which we will start driving towards the town Chefchaouen, passing by the breathtaking Riff Mountains. Chefchaouen is known as The Blue Pearl, and it has gained this name for the bright and vibrant blue color that its walls and buildings are painted with. You’ll get to walk around the city, discovering its uniqueness and beauty. You also wouldn’t want to miss trying out the bio goat cheese that the town is famous for. Finally, we will spend the night in Chefchaouen.
Day 3: Chefhouaen- Riif Mountains-Volubilis-Meknes
Our destination for this next day would be the city of Meknes, but on our way we will meet the town of Ouazen and Volubilis. Volubilis is a site of ruins belonging to the Ancient Roman Empire, dating as far back as the 3rd century BC. This location contains some very well preserved archeological material, most notably the mosaic masterpieces. A short drive later, we will finally reach Meknes, the Ismaili capital. The city is given this name for being the old capital of the king Moulay Ismail during the 17th century. In Meknes, you will visit the most important attractions such as Saht Lhdim, which is a mini version of Jama Lfna. There’s also the gate of Bab Mnsour, Sahrij Souani basin, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Then we will spend the night at a Riad in the Old Medina.
Day 4: To Fes-Exploring Fes
We will leave Meknes headed in the direction of the city of Fez which we will reach after about 50 minutes. Once we get there, we will begin our tour of the city by walking around the streets and alleyways of the Old Medina, then we will visit the impressive gates of the royal palace, and what is considered to be the first Mellah to be built in Morocco. After that, we will go walk around the Attarin Souk, where you will find all sorts of artisanal products on display. After we are done with that, we will leave the Souk through the Bab Boujeloud gate which is in itself a stunning masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship. Following this, we will pay a visit to the Dar Albatha museum, known for its unique display of traditional Moroccan arts. We may have a typical Moroccan lunch at a restaurant in the Medina if you would like, after which we will spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the new parts of the city. As for the overnight accommodations, they will be in Fez.
Day 5: Fes-Middle Atlas-Ifran-Azro-Ziz valley-Sahara Desert
Today we will start heading south on our journey to the Sahara desert, but first, we will go through the Middle Atlas region where we will meet the town of Ifrane, the Azrou cedar forests (populated by wild Macaque monkeys) and then the town of Midelt. This is where the landscape will start turning into a more Saharian atmosphere, as we will reach the massive palm groves of Ziz Valley. Finally, we will arrive at the Sahara desert where we will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 6: Exploring the regions of the Sahara
We will have a delicious traditional breakfast, then we will drive to the nearby Rissani village, known for holding the biggest market place of the region. Also, this area is a hotspot for old fortified Kasbahs, so you will get to see many of those along the way. For lunch, we will visit a local Berber family known for their hospitality, then we will finally start getting ready for our camel trekking ride. You will spend an unforgettable evening in a Berber camp in the middle of the Sahara surrounded by nothing but endless dunes. After a delicious traditional dinner, you will spend the night in a Nomad style simplistic tent.
Day 7: Sahara- Todra valley-Todra Goarge-Dades
After waking up in time to admire the breathtaking desert sunrise, we will head back to our hotel to get a delicious breakfast. Then we will drive to the nearby Todra Gorges passing by Tinghir and the Todra valley. The road we will be taking is a very famous one called the road of the thousand Kasbahs, and it will lead us the beautiful Dades Valley. Finally, we will spend the night in the nearby valley of Roses.
Day8: -Rose valley-Kasbah Ait Benhadou-Taroudant
After having breakfast, we will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is a recognized UNESCO world heritage, and many big movie directors have chosen it over the years as a filming location for international movies such as The Mummy, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator… etc. After spending some time there, we will head to the city of Taroudant (known as the Little Marrakech) in order to have dinner and spend the night
Day 9: Journey to Essaouira
For this next day, we will have breakfast then head towards the Atlantic coast, more specifically to Essaouira. We will stop at this magical city to enjoy its golden beaches and coastline, as well as all the local seafood cuisine it offers. Essaouira has a very unique and interesting vibe to it because of all the Portuguese, French and Berber influences that are present in its architecture. You will definitely get to enjoy that as well, while wandering around the city or relaxing at a local café. You will spend the night at a traditional Riad in the old Medina.
Day 10: Journey to Marrakesh
This next we will have breakfast then will then start driving to Marrakech city. You will enjoy the rest of your day here exploring the world famous Jamaa El Fna square, with all of its different sorts of entertainers. Be prepared to find snake charmers, musicians, storytellers and an abundance of stalls for foods and drinks. You will be provided with overnight accommodation in a Riad in the old Medina.
Day 11: Discover Marrakesh
This day will be entirely spent touring the city of Marrakech. You will be accompanied by a local tour guide, which will allow you to discover all of the places worth visiting. The tour includes, but is not limited to: the Koutoubia Minaret, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, the Dar Si Said Museum and the Majorelle Gardens.
