Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca-Eloaulidia
Once you land at the Casablanca airport, you will be met by a representative from our team, then our tour will immediately start by driving to Eloualidia. A protected natural lagoon is located near this coastal town, attracting huge flocks of migrating birds during the seasons of spring and autumn. Pink Flamingos, storks, avocets and egrets are just a few examples of the birds that this lagoon is home to. We will spend the night in Eloualidia.
Day 2: Eloualidia-Safi-Essaouira
For this next day, we will have breakfast then head towards the Atlantic coast which we will be discovering for the biggest portion of this trip. The first location along the way being Essaouira, we will stop at this magical city to enjoy its golden beaches and coastline, as well as all the local seafood cuisine it offers. Essaouira has a very unique and interesting vibe to it because of all the Portuguese, French and Berber influences that are present in its architecture. You will definitely get to enjoy that as well, while wandering around the city or relaxing at a local café. You will spend the night at a traditional Riad in the old Medina.
Day 3: Essaouira- Taghazout-Agadir
Our destination for this next day will be the city of Agadir, which we will not reach before enjoying the many spots along the way that are worth stopping at. The most important one out of these would be the marvelous beach of Taghazout, in which you can try wind surfing or you can simply relax and walk along the golden beach. We will also seize the opportunity to have lunch here, before resuming our trip to Agadir. Agadir is a very important Moroccan city for two main reasons: Being the largest Berber city in Morocco, and being home to the biggest commercial and fishing port in Morocco. After spending enough time discovering this city and its beautiful beaches, we will spend the night in a Hotel/Riad.
Day 4: Agadir-Mirlft-Sidi Ifni
After having breakfast, we will continue our coastal adventure by leaving the city of Agadir and head to Sidi Ifni town, which we will reach in the in the early afternoon. Because it was under the Spanish colonization up until 1969, the city retains a very unique Spanish vibe to it. Keep in mind that today’s meals as well as overnight accommodation will all be had at Lagzira beach.
Day5 : Sidi Ifni- Gulemime-Tantan-Louatya
This day we will have a memorable breakfast at the beach, after which we will resume our trip through the Atlantic coast. Our next destination would normally be the city of Guelmim, but we will not go there before taking you first to another one of the most breathtaking beaches in Morocco. The White Beach, or Playa Blanca as called by Spanish explorers, is a stunning location that hosts all sorts of landscapes from desert and oases to ocean and mountains. After we’re done exploring this beach, we will continue driving to Guelmim, which we will reach just in time to witness the famous Camels market. Also, in case you’ve heard about the “Goulimine beads” or “Love beads” that were very popular among hippies in the 60’s, well this is the city that their name refers to. Finally, we will end our day by arriving at Tantan city, which is home to the longest river in Morocco, the Draa River. We will be spending the night at El Ouatya beach.
Day6: Louatya-Khenifiss
Today will be dedicated to a very special Moroccan site: the Khenifiss National Park. The park covers a surface of about 1850 square kilometers, and is home to a diverse range of seasonal and permanent birds including: Marbled Ducks, Ruddy Shelducks, Audouin’s Gull and even Pink Flamingos during the winter seasons alongside many other species. These birds are mainly attracted by the warm weather and the impressive lagoon at the park, considered to be the biggest lagoon of the Moroccan coast. We will set camp here for the day, then go on an hour long boat ride that will take us to a sea of beautiful sand dunes to explore. You will get to spend the rest of the day surrounded by nature in the most relaxing environment.
Day 7: Khnefiss-Tiznit
Let’s drive north east after having breakfast at the camp, North East means missing the ocean and exploring the Atlas mountains, since the Atlas Mountain is divided into three main range, High, Middle and the Anti Atlas, our journey will be taking us to the small Berber town Tafroaut which is located at the Anti Atlas range, and the valley of Amlen!; The Berber town is know by its national Festival of Almonds because of the wide spread not only of the Almend trees but also the unique Agran tree; additional to the leather slippers. Nestled in an enchanting valley, Amlen near !tafrouat is ideal for walking activities, Overnight at Tiznit region
Day 8: Tiznit-Tafroaut-Ait Baha-Taroudant
Today we will leave the beautiful Tafraout in order to head to Taroudant. On the way day, you will be able to get a glimpse of real Berber culture as you’ll see small children bathing in the lake while their mothers are cleaning carpets and washing clothes. As we are driving by Ait Baha, you will witness a truly unique scene at the Argan Natioanl Park, which is that of goats climbing up Argan trees to eat the nuts they produce. Finally, we will arrive at Taroudant where we will spend the night.
Day 9: Taroudant-Tizi n’test-Tinmel-Amzmiz
Today we will be journeying through the High Atlas Mountains in order to get to the town of Amzmiz. The drive there will be truly fascinating, as you will get to enjoy the sights of small Berber villages while we cross the Tizin Test mountain pass (second highest in Morocco). This drive will lead us to a town called Tinmel, known for being home to a very important historical mosque under the same name. This town is actually the hometown of the Almohads dynasty and served as their base of operations during the 12th century. Finally, we will reach Amzmiz in the evening, just in time to get dinner and spend the night.
