Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge:

Our tour will begin as we come to get you from your accommodation in Marrakech, then we will start driving towards our destination of the day: the Dades gorges. In order to get there we will have to drive through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying the sights of small Berber villages. After crossing the Tizin Tichka mountain pass, we will arrive at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Ait Ben Haddou is a recognized UNESCO world heritage site, and many big movie directors have chosen it over the years as a filming location for international movies such as The Mummy, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator… etc. After we have lunch in the Kasbah, we will continue driving by Kalaat Mgouna, which is a city famous for its Rose production. Finally, we will arrive at the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorges – Merzouga:

We will start the day by leaving the beautiful Dades Valley behind, then driving by Tinghir towards the Todra gorges. This location is known for its 300 meters high gorges that attract climbers from all over the world. After walking around the gorges and enjoying sights of the nearby Berber villages, we will head straight to Merzouga, which is the gateway city to the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will have dinner and spend the night at a local hotel in Merzouga.

Day 3: Merzouga – Merzouga Dunes:

We will have breakfast in Merzouga, then we will start a big day full of desert adventures. The first one of those will be a visit to the Khamlia village, which is a village that’s inhabited by the descendants of Sudanese people who were brought here for the slave trade in the past. The people in this village are known for their hospitality, so you will get to spend some time with them and chat over a cup of tea. Most importantly, they are also known for their indigenous spiritual Gnaoua music, which you will get to enjoy performed live in front of you. After that we will explore a few more desert villages such Mfis and Merdane, then we will head back to Merzouga and check in at our hotel, then rest for a little bit before you try the unique experience of Camel trekking through the Sahara dunes. The camels will take us to the desert camp (a virgin oasis) where you will watch the breathtaking desert sunset and then try the mouthwatering Berber cuisine for dinner. While all of this is going on, the atmosphere will soothed by an accompaniment of live Berber music playing, as you’ll sleep in a the camp surrounded by the desert dunes.

Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Fez:

For the last of this trip, we will have breakfast then head to Rissani city to discover the biggest traditional market place of the area, and explore the remains of the Sijilmassa Kasbah. We will drive through some amazing locations and landscapes on our way to Fez including Errachidia, Ziz Valley, the Tizin Talghamt Mountain pass then Midelt. This is where we will reach the Middle Atlas Mountains, starting at the Azrou cedar forests where you can see wild Macaque monkeys, then continuing to Ifrane. Ifran is a town known for its unique weather, where we can stop to take pictures. Finally, we will arrive at Fez in the evening, then transfer you to your Riad. This marks the end of our services
