Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Fes / Erfoud / Merzouga (287 miles)

Today we will start heading south on our journey to the Sahara desert, but first, we will go through the Middle Atlas region where we will meet the town of Ifrane, the Azrou cedar forests (populated by wild Macaque monkeys) and then the town of Midelt where we will have lunch. This is where the landscape will start turning into a more Saharian atmosphere, as we will reach the massive palm groves of Ziz Valley. Finally, we will arrive at the Sahara desert at Merzouga where we will have dinner and spend the night in a nomad tents.

Day 2: Merzouga / Erfoud / Ouarzazate (227 miles)

After waking up in time to admire the beauty of the breathtaking desert sunrise, we will ride our camels back to the hotel at Merzouga to get a delicious breakfast and get the chance to shower. After that we will head to Ouarzazate city, driving by the Todra gorges where we will have lunch. In Ouarzazate, you can get the chance to visit a local filming studio, considered to be one of the most important in Morocco. We may also pay a quick visit the Tifoultout Kasbah and the Taourirt Kasbah. Finally, we will have dinner and spend the night at Ouarzazate.

Day 3: Ouarzazate / Marrakesh (126 miles)

We will have breakfast then start driving towards the world famous Ait Ben Haddou village where we will spend some time and have lunch. Finally, we will head to Marrakech by driving through the Tizin Tichka mountain pass.
